Nicole Charky is a journalist and producer based in Los Angeles, California. She is Syrian-Lebanese, Sicilian and a descendant of the Tonawanda-Seneca tribe. 

Nicole works now as Maria Shriver’s social media and video producer. She researches, books talent, coordinates, produces, shoots and edits digital content for Shriver’s platforms, including her digital video series Architects of Change and her podcast Meaningful Conversations.

Nicole talent-produced Snapchat’s dating show Phone Swap (Season 2) and Grammy award-winning artist Bekon’s “Cold As Ice” music video. She is an original member of ATTN:, where she helped grow the brand’s audience, writing and producing viral video content, licensing video and collaborating with Facebook to create best practices for live video broadcasting. 

Before transitioning to video, she worked at The Los Angeles Times — getting her start in college as a community section intern and working her way up to overnight deputy editor — writing, editing and producing content with both national and international reporters and editors. She is a former overnight breaking news reporter for City News Service, Southern California’s news wire. 

Her writing and videos have been featured in Snapchat Discover channel Brother, ATTN:, The Los Angeles Times, Glamour, AOL and Patch. Her reporting has been recognized by the Online News Association, the Los Angeles Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists. She earned her degree in Journalism from Loyola University Chicago, minoring in Political Science.

Nicole currently teaches ‘Introduction to Social Media’ at Loyola Marymount University.
